Binance, the market-leading exchange, went out of service for about an hour.
This cut would have been caused by a gateway problem.
The CEO of Binance is planning to discuss this issue in more detail shortly
Binance , the main exchange in the crypto industry, temporarily closed this Thursday, September 10. For about an hour, it was impossible to access the platform via an internet browser or its mobile application.
This sparked a slight panic among cryptocurrency investors, although many noted that it was not the first time that such an event had occurred.
It doesn’t work, I think it’s out of order.
Bitcoin Profit quickly responded to the situation with the following announcement:
We are aware of the temporary difficulties in accessing https://Binance.com.
Rest assured that our team is working on it.
We thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience caused
The crypto giant also exhibited access issues during the recent drop in Bitcoin’s price. After the sudden drop in BTC, some then claimed that the crash had contributed to this drop. This problem naturally caused a mini-panic among investors.
On Twitter, more than one took the opportunity to criticize the exchange for its apparent management problems, and the inability to manage large movements in the price of BTC.
Binance is not the only exchange to suffer from technical problems, however. On September 2, the popular American brokerage platform Coinbase
announced that its service of sending various cryptocurrencies has been discontinued.
The founder and CEO of Binance, Changpeng Zhao (CZ), for his part, reacted quickly to this new cut. Less than an hour later, he explained in a tweet that it was a “bridge problem, the team is taking care of it”. He then added that the “problem has been solved” and the site “should be back to normal”.
He also said he plans to talk about it in more detail later today. This article will be updated as new information becomes available.
